RLU Biblical Studies: Rooted - Hard Conversations to Be Had
Sundays / October 6th - December 8th / PF Campus, Bldg 2 Auditorium
Biblical Studies: Rooted will be covering the topic "Hard Conversations to Be Had" as a complement to the sermon series "The Elephant in the Room."
How can you believe in God when there is so much evil in the world? Why do bad things happen to good people? What do you mean there's only one way to God? How can God be so intolerant? How can you believe the Bible when it's so outdated and goes against science? Why does God hate the LGBTQ community?
Hard conversations, hard questions... These are conversations that happen all the time in our homes, in our schools, in our communities, in the media... What is your response? It's critical in today's world to not only be able to know what to say but also how to say it. Peter tells us in 1 Peter 3:15 to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have ... But do this with gentleness and respect."
Come journey with us as we explore biblical answers to some of life's hardest conversations. At the same time, learn ways to engage with your friends, family, neighbors, and those around you in a Christ-like manner.
